Police calling for dash cam footage following fatal crash at Darlington Point

A 58-year-old man has died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash over the weekend.

Police said emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway in Darlington Point following reports of a single-vehicle crash at around 1:30 pm on Sunday (16 July).

Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District attended and found the passenger of the Toyota Hilux had died at the scene while the driver, a 54-year-old woman, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Griffith Base Hospital with minor injuries.

Specialist police will forensically examine the scene and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Any witnesses to the collision, including motorists with dashcam footage are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 00. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
