Motorbike rider dies in two-vehicle crash at Kosciuszko National Park

A 62-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash over the weekend.

Police said emergency services were called to Alpine Way, south of Khancoban in the Kosciuszko National Park, following reports a motorbike and a car collided at about 9 am on Sunday (20 November).

The rider died at the scene, while the 25-year-old male driver of the car was taken to Tumbarumba Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to the Riverina Police District attended and established a crime scene, which was forensically examined by specialist officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
