There’s something on for all ages in the Riverina this week.

Wagga Wagga Rotary is hosting its annual book fair for bibliophiles, while the coin and stamp fair is back again with seven dealers.

Griffith Regional Art Gallery is showing work by Launceston-based artist Tony Curran.

Get your glam on as Wagga City Rugby Club invites you to a cocktail night.

Vintage car lovers can head down to Illabo for a special speedway event showcasing all things vintage.

Everyone’s favourite, Australian Army Band Kapooka will be performing at a free event at the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre.

Head to hidden gem Altina Wildlife Park and go on a ‘zoo-fari’ or the Griffith Pioneer Park Museum any time of the week and explore the region’s history.

For those who get a break during the week, head to Temora to enjoy great food and company with Sugar and Spice by Lake Centenary.

Wagg Wagga Rotary Book Fair

When: Saturday 20 May, 8 am to 5 pm, Sunday 21 May, 9 am to 3 pm
Where: Kyeamba Smith Hall, Wagga Showground, Bourke Street, Mount Austin
Cost: Entry $2. Children enter for free.

It’s that time of the year again for all book lovers to converge at the Kyeamba Smith Hall at the Wagga Wagga Showground for the annual book fair. Locals have a chance to pick through and purchase a plethora of fiction and non-fiction books in genres ranging from children’s literature to Mills & Boon romance novels and everything in between.

Stamp & Coin Fair

When: Saturday 20 May, 9 am to 5 pm, Sunday 21 May, 9 am to 3 pm
Where: Sturt Primary School Hall, White Avenue, Kooringal
Cost: Adult entry (over 16) $2, under 16s enter for free.

Stamp and coin enthusiasts are invited to the Stamp and Coin Fair over the weekend, with seven dealers in attendance for selling, providing free valuations and buying. Head down to buy, sell or get your stamps and coins valued or browse through the collection.

Tony Curran: What a Machine

When: Saturday – Sunday 11 am to 2 pm, Wednesday – Friday 10 am to 5 pm – until 25 June.
Where: Griffith Regional Art Gallery, 167 Banna Avenue, Griffith
Cost: Free.

Launceston-based artist Tony Curran is showcasing his exhibition What a Machine at Griffith Regional Art Gallery. Head to the art gallery to view what Tony has to show. The artist’s work explores the impact of smart devices on engagement with contemporary art and visual culture, including audience reception, collaboration and authorship in a software dependent world.

Wagga City Cocktail Night

When: Saturday 20 May, 6:30 pm
Where: Wagga Wagga Country Club, Plumpton Road, Wagga Wagga
Cost: Tickets are $60 for single admission, and $110 for couple admission and can be purchased here.

Wagga City Rugby Club is inviting everyone to a cocktail night. Get your friends or partner together, dress up and enjoy a great night of drinks, live music and food.

Vintage Speedway Event – Tribute for the Jenkins Family

When: Saturday 20 May, 9 am to 4 pm.
Where: Illabo Motorsport Park, 14 Illabo Showground Road, Illabo
Cost: Adults $10, pension and seniors $5, children (12-16) $5, children under 12 free.

A special tribute event will be held for the Jenkins family on Saturday, featuring vintage speedcars, compacts, modifiers, classic real-engine F500’s and more. Junior speedway kart will also be featured in the event.

An Evening with Australian Army Band Kapooka

When: Wednesday 24 May, 6 pm to 7 pm
Where: Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre, Burns Way (off Tarcutta St), Wagga Wagga

Spend an evening with the Australian Army Band Kapooka at the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre for a concert. Head down to support the band and have a great evening through this free event.

Sugar and Spice at Lake Centenary

Temora’s famous Sugar and Spice vintage food van will be at Lake Centenary on Wednesday with all the sugary and savoury goodness by locals Shan and Dilini. Check out their Instagram profile for what they have on offer.
