This week, there are two new releases at Forum 6: IF and Golda.

The Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga is hosting its annual book fair for bibliophiles, while the coin and stamp fair is back again with seven dealers.

Check out the world-class ensemble of multitalented artists in The World of Musicals in Concert in Albury.

Or perhaps you’d like to head to Temora to catch the production of The Great Gatsby, a classic tale of tragic love and obsession set against the backdrop of the roaring 20s in the Jazz Age.

Give your art-loving child the opportunity to master the art of painting with Isis-Rae Ronan from Tambourine Art Studio.

Market lovers can head to Griffith Rotary Market, Griffith Central Market Day, and Riverina Producers’ Market for their favourites.

The live-action animated fantasy comedy IF, directed by John Krasinski and starring Cailey Flemming, Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Steve Carell, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Jon Stewart, George Clooney, Blake Lively, Bradley Cooper and Awkafina, is about a young girl who is going through a difficult time who starts to see everyone’s imaginary friends who have been left behind as their real-life friends have grown up.

Golda, starring Helen Mirren as Gold Meir, the first female prime minister of Israel, follows her handling of the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

Also showing this week is the new instalment of Planet of the Apes, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the horror film Tarot, the whacky action-comedy Boy Kills World, and The Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.

Wagg Wagga Rotary Book Fair

When: Saturday 18 May, 8 am to 5 pm, Sunday 19 May, 9 am to 3 pm
Where: Kyeamba Smith Hall, Wagga Showground, Bourke Street, Mount Austin
Cost: Entry $2. Children enter for free.

It’s that time of the year again for all book lovers to converge at the Kyeamba Smith Hall at the Wagga Wagga Showground for the annual book fair. Locals can pick through and purchase a plethora of fiction and non-fiction books in genres ranging from children’s literature to Mills & Boon romance novels and everything in between.

The Great Gatsby

Where: Temora Town Hall, Loftus Street, Temora
Cost: Tickets are $30 for standard admission and $25 for under 16s and concession and can be purchased at Motion Arts Temora, Temora’s Double Shot or at the door on the night.

People are captivated by love, wealth, the pursuit of happiness, obsession and denial. Motion Arts Temora invites everyone to explore these themes as they step back in time to experience the allure of the roaring 20s with the company’s enthralling rendition of The Great Gatsby, directed by Scott Hayman.

Cost: Free entry.

Stamp and coin enthusiasts are invited to the Stamp and Coin Fair over the weekend. Seven dealers will be in attendance to sell, provide valuations, and buy stamps and coins. Head down to buy, sell, value, or browse through the collection.
