Woman in hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a car and a truck

A woman has suffered serious injuries following a truck and car crash in Tocumwal.

Police said a truck and sedan collided near the intersection of The Rocks Road and Racecourse Road in Tocumwal at about 9 am today (13 December).

NSW Ambulance attended, treating the female driver of the sedan for serious injuries. She’s been transported to Shepparton Hospital.

The truck driver was not injured. He’s been taken for mandatory testing.

Officers from the Murray River Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police said the Crash Investigation Unit was on the way to examine the scene.

Motorists are advised Racecourse Road and The Rocks Road will be closed for several hours, with local traffic diversions in place.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
