Man dies following fatal crash near Narrandera

A man believed to be in his 20s has died following a two-vehicle crash.

Police said emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway at Gillenbah, west of Narrandera, after reports a truck and a car had collided at about 11:20 am on Thursday (9 November).

The male driver of the car died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

The 54-year-old male truck driver was taken to Narrandera Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing to anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared with the information of the coroner.
