Teens charged with property, traffic and drug offences

Four teenagers were arrested and charged as part of Strikeforce Olwen following a spate of alleged property offences in the Wagga.

Three teens have been charged with property, traffic and drug offences over the weekend.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District were called to Wooden Street, Turvey Park, after reports of a break and enter at about 4:30 pm on Saturday 11 September.

Police attended a short time later and commenced a search of the surrounding area.

Police said that afterwards, officers arrested two teenage boys aged 13 and 15 nearby.

Both the teenagers were taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.

The 13-year-old was charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence.

The 15-year-old was charged with 23 property, traffic and drug offences.

Police seized clothing, shoes, bags and mobile phones from the teens.

Following further inquiries, police charged a second 13-year-old boy with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.

All three teens were refused bail to appear at a Children’s Court on Sunday 11 September 2022.
