Three people have been charged following a multi-agency investigation into alleged drug supply in Wagga Wagga.
Police said in a statement Strike Force Bohr was established in September 2022 to investigate the distribution of cocaine in Wagga Wagga.
Officers attached to Wagga Wagga Region Enforcement Squad (RES), with assistance from Monaro RES, South East RES, Riverina Police District and Traffic and Highway Patrol, following extensive inquiries, executed three search warrants in Estella, Wagga Wagga and Lake Albert, from about 12 pm Thursday (11 May) and 7:30 am yesterday (12 May).
Police executed a search warrant at a home on Samson Street in Estella at about 12:30 pm, where a 24-year-old man was arrested.
Police seized vapes, knuckle dusters, prescription medication, $18,950 in Australian currency, designer shoes and electronic devices from the location, while three vehicles were also towed from the property.
The man was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he was charged with 26 offences, including supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis, 21 counts of supplying a prohibited drug (one count of supplying a prohibited drug greater than or equal to commercial quantity), knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime and larceny.
He was also charged with receiving/disposing of stolen property, and knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group.
The man appeared in Wagga Wagga Local Court yesterday, where he was formally bail refused to reappear on 12 July 2023.
Police said following further inquiries, they executed a search warrant at a business on Baylis Street in Wagga at about 7:30 am yesterday (12 May), where a 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
He was later taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station, where he was charged with three offences including, including supplying prohibited drug, receiving/disposing of stolen property and knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime.
He was refused police bail and appeared before Wagga Wagga Local Court yesterday, where he was formally refused bail.
Police also executed a search warrant at a home on Taupo Drive in Lake Albert at about 9:30 am on 12 May, where they arrested a 32-year-old woman.
The woman was issued a court attendance notice for four offences, including two counts of supplying prohibited drugs, knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime, and participating in a criminal group contributing to criminal activity.
She was granted conditional bail to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on 28 June.
Investigations under Strike Force Bohr are continuing.
