A Holbrook man has appeared in court following a crash that killed a truck driver in May.

Sixty-year-old Neville McCarthy fronted Wagga Wagga Local Court on 26 July, charged with dangerous driving causing death and negligent driving causing death.

Police said emergency services were called to a two-vehicle collision about 10 am on 29 May and found a Kenworth prime mover and a truck both alight at the scene.

NSW Rural Fire Service officers extinguished the blaze, but the truck driver, a man believed to be in his 40s, died at the scene.
