Wikipedia says: Bradley Scott Fittler (born 5 February, 1972), also known by the nickname “Freddy”, is the head coach of the NSW State of Origin rugby league team, a commentator and a television presenter.

Fittler has previously coached the Sydney Roosters in the NRL and the NSW City side, and at an international level, he coached Lebanon. He is a former professional player who was named among the finest footballers of the first century of rugby league in Australia.

We say: Freddy is the coolest cucumber going around! Barefooted, yoga, has llamas on his property (because he likes that they poop in the same place), and has a resting pulse rate below most humans. If he’s ever been stressed, we’ve never seen it.

Definitely in the Top 50 Aussies To Have a Beer With!

Do you have a connection to the Region? What and when was your last visit?

I’ve been going to the Riverina every year. It is a fantastic place to ride around. My earliest memory was a state carnival at Tumut. Nearly my earliest footy memory.

Favourite thing about the Region?

The people are always friendly and fun.

What was your best food experience?

Simon Bonetti (former Roosters teammate) wedding; schooners and pasta.

What’s a “must do” when in the Region?

Learn about the Snowy Hydro history. Incredible.

Drive or fly?

Ride.

What are your three go-to songs on the road trip to the Region?

Bob Seger, Like a Rock

America, Ventura Highway

Don Henley, Boys of Summer

Name one person you would not want in the passenger seat for the drive.

Because it’s a ride, unless it’s Marie (my wife), I would rather be alone.

If they can be dead, Marilyn Monroe (*we presume he does not mean her corpse!).

Do you bring your own pillows?

No pillows, I like to look forward to going home and putting my head on my pillow.

Why should someone who hasn’t visited here make the trip?

There is something for everyone.
