Police appeal for public's help following fires along the Murrumbidgee River

A woman who may be able to assist with investigation into the recent multiple fires along the Murrumbidgee River.

Police are appealing to the public for information following multiple small fires in Wagga Wagga earlier this month.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District were alerted to multiple fires along the Murrumbidgee River between 4 and 6 pm on 4 March. The fires were in the vicinity of Fitzmaurice, Tarcutta and Mason streets, Wagga Wagga.

Police are treating the fires as suspicious.

As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV images of a woman who may be able to assist with their investigation.

The woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, and about 50 years old. She is shown wearing an item on her head, sunglasses, a yellow shirt, dark pants and dark shoes.
