Police seek help to identify people as probes into alleged shop thefts continue

Riverina and Murrumbidgee police have released CCTV footage of three women and two men whom they believe may be able to assist with inquiries into alleged stealing incidents in Wagga and Griffith. Photo: Supplied.

Riverina and Murrumbidgee police are appealing for information regarding shoplifting incidents in Wagga Wagga and Griffith.

Officers were called to a store on Baylis Street, Wagga, following reports of stealing about 3 pm on 15 July and about 1:30 pm on 16 July.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with a woman who may be able to assist with their investigation. She is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, about 160cm tall, of medium build with long brown curly hair.

On 17 July, police were called to a shop in Gurwood Street, Wagga Wagga, following reports of stealing about 6:50 pm.

They would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their investigation. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of medium build with short hair.

Murrumbidgee Police District officers believe the women pictured below can assist with an investigation into an alleged theft at a business in Griffith about 11:30 am on 8 July.

Griffith police say they believe the man pictured above can assist with their investigation into an alleged theft at a business in Griffith about 7:30 pm on 14 July.
