Leeton servo robbed by machete-wielding man

Police are appealing for information as part of ongoing inquiries into an armed robbery at Leeton, in the Riverina.

Shortly before midday on Thursday (30 May), a man entered a service station on Kurrajong Avenue, Leeton, and threatened the store attendant with a machete, demanding money.

The attendant retreated to the back room and the man left the store with cash and was last seen heading towards Coolibah Street, before getting into a stolen Mahindra utility vehicle, and was last seen in Lily Lane.

The man was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, a khaki hat with a black logo, an orange and navy high-vis jacket, black pants and black lace-up shoes.

Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District were notified and commenced an investigation into the robbery.
