What makes a great takeaway?

Our most revered takeaways are always on point, dishing out delicious meals quickly and consistently. Whether they specialise in pick-up and delivery only or offer a blend of dine in-and-out; great takeaways keep us coming back for more. Here is what we think separates the best from the rest:

  • Delicious. Much like any dining option, a great takeaway is all about delicious food first. Featuring dish, after delightful dish, the best takeaways have a reputation for quality produce cooked well and seasoned to perfection. The best takeaways work hard to create tasty menus that never let us down.
  • Iconic. Any good takeaway worth their weight will be known for an iconic dish – or two. These hallmark dishes are often what compels us in the first place; and for whatever reason keeps drawing us back. Whether it be flavours from a far-flung land or a secret spice, these iconic dishes are known the Riverina over.
  • Convenient. It should go without saying that the best takeaways are incredibly convenient, and there when you need them most! Indeed, many factors ladder up into convenience. Things like accessibility, ample parking, early or late trading hours, and multiple methods to place an order are all key. The best takeaways make placing and receiving an order a breeze.
  • Consistent. There is much to be said for consistency when it comes to taking away. Essentially, consistency comes with knowing your selected dishes will be cooked to perfection, on time, and be piping hot on your arrival.
  • Super service. The best takeaways offer super service in spades. They answer calls promptly, greet you warmly, and welcome you back just as easily. This super service not only ensures quality through and through, it also makes one feel right at home.
