Police are appealing for public assistance after an alleged break and enter in the Riverina.
At about 5:20 am on Monday (1 December), officers were called to a store on Sheridan Street, Gundagai after reports of the incident.
Officers attached to Riverina Police District were told that three unknown men – allegedly armed with hammers and a crowbar – were seen smashing the front windows of the store.
Two of the men were allegedly seen entering the store and smashing glass display cabinets and refrigeration units before leaving and running towards Homer Street.
A crime scene was established as an investigation into the incident commenced.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to three men who may be able to assist with inquiries.
The first man was described as wearing black tracksuit pants, a black hoody, red and white shoes, red/orange gloves and allegedly armed with a crowbar.
The second man was described as wearing black tracksuit pants with a white stripe down the sides, a dark hoody, dark hat with white stripes, dark shoes and allegedly armed with a sledgehammer.
The third man was described as wearing a dark hoody and long pants, black runners and allegedly armed with a claw hammer.
