With only two weeks left of the summer school holidays, there are still myriad ways to keep the kids busy and entertained.

Head to Vortex Entertainment to try out the bumper cars, high ropes, obstacle courses and the new mini golf course.

Attention, Riverina Swifties – assemble for a tribute concert in Albury.

Get along to the hidden gem, Altina Wildlife Park and go on a ‘zoo-fari’or head to Wagga Wagga Zoo and Aviary.

Market lovers are reminded Griffith Rotary Market and the Riverina Producers’ Market are back on.

Check out the historical war aircraft at the Temora Aviation Museum with the whole family.

Enjoy the peak of summer at the waterslides in Narrandera.

The new releases to catch at Forum 6 Cinemas this week are Magic Beach, Conclave, Dragonkeeper and Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.

Meet and Greet Encounters at Botanic Gardens Zoo

When: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, all week
Where: Botanic Gardens Zoo
Cost: Free.

The zoo will be hosting meet-and-greet encounters daily during the school holidays including petting dingoes, reptiles and more. Walk around the zoo and enjoy activities such as emu and camel feeding, deer interactions and mini pony walks around the gardens. There will be many opportunities to take photos while enjoying all the zoo offers.

Waterslides

When: Monday to Friday, 6 to 8 am, then 10 am to 7 pm; weekends, 10 am to 7 pm
Where: Lake Talbot Water Park, Narrandera
Cost: $2 to $4.

It’s time to hit the pool, and the Lake Talbot Water Park in Narrandera Shire is the best place to do it.

Right next to the lake, you’ll find four swimming pools, terraced lawns, barbecues and, of course, the slides, including a high-speed ‘dual racer’ that allows for two people to slide at a time!

Vortex Entertainment

When: Monday and Tuesday, 10 am to 6 pm, Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm.
Where: 77 Trail Street, Wagga
Cost: Tickets are available in 90-minute and two-hour sessions. Tickets for ages one to six range from $12 to $20, and tickets for students and adults range from $22 to $32. Discounts are offered online, so be sure to check out the Vortex Entertainment website. Entry is free for non-participating adults.

Head to Vortex Entertainment and try the rock-climbing walls, high ropes, bumper cars and obstacle courses.

Where: Altina Wildlife Park, 14432 Sturt Highway, Darlington Point
Cost: Various. Bookings are essential and can be requested here.

Darlington Point’s hidden gem, Altina Wildlife Park, offers ‘zoo-faris’ with an Australian twist. Meet the animals up close and personal with your guide while travelling in style on your horse-drawn or motorised cart.

Temora Aviation Museum Aircraft Showcase

When: Every day, 10 am – 4 pm
Where: Temora Aviation Museum
Cost: Adults $20, over 65 $15, children $10, family of four $50, and can be purchased at TAM.

Take the children to the Temora Aviation Museum to see its collection of aircraft, learn about the role they played in Australia’s military history and remember the efforts of the men and women who flew the aircraft during conflict.

Jade Gibson is set to pay tribute to the world’s biggest pop star, Taylor Swift, this weekend in Albury.

Griffith Rotary Market

Head to the Rotary Sunday Markets at the Griffith Showground to get your hands on the Riverina’s freshest fruit and veg, eggs, chutneys, cakes and other homemade goodies.

There will be fresh coffee and bacon and eggs too!
