Two men have faced court after police allegedly seized drugs believed to be suboxone [an oral film prescribed to treat dependence on opioid drugs] and methamphetamine in the Riverina.

Police said Strike Force Gride was established in November 2023 to investigate the ongoing supply of prohibited drugs in Wagga Wagga.

Officers from the Regional Enforcement Squad, Southern Operation Support Group and Riverina Police District executed a search warrant at a home on William Street, North Wagga Wagga, at about 8 am on Wednesday (8 May).

During the search, police allegedly located and seized drugs believed to be suboxone and methamphetamine, allegedly stolen number plates, a chainsaw and a mobile phone.

Two people at the property at the time were questioned and released.
