Civilian police employee set to face court over alleged domestic violence-related charges

A civilian police employee has been suspended following an investigation into alleged domestic violence-related offences.

Police said officers attached to Murray River Police District received reports of a domestic violence-related incident at a home in the Albury area and commenced an investigation on Thursday, 5 October.

Following inquiries, a 33-year-old female employee attached to a command in the Southern Region was charged last Friday (6 October) with common assault (DV) and unlawfully disclosing information as a public official.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Albury Local Court tomorrow (10 October).

The woman has been suspended with pay.
