Boy, 16, left with concussion and stomach injuries after attack by unknown man in Henty

Police are investigating the assault of a 16-year-old boy in Henty.

Murray River Police District officers were called to Henty Hospital following reports of an assault at about 4 pm on 8 November.

On arrival, they found the teenager suffering from concussion and stomach injuries.

They were told the boy had allegedly been assaulted by an unknown man in a laneway behind Sladen Street, Henty. He managed to run away and get help before being taken to hospital in a stable condition and has since been released.

Police are looking to speak with any witnesses who may be able to assist their investigation.

They also urge anyone with CCTV footage or information about the incident to contact Murray River police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
