This week is packed with an array of interesting events and activities around the Riverina.

It’s a big weekend for Forum 6 Cinemas, as it’s the opening weekend of the seventh instalment of Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Other new releases include Joy Ride and Insidious: The Red Door.

We are in the second week of the Festival of W, with plenty on offer for all. Riverina Comedy Club is hosting Brett Blake at Tilly’s for a night of laughter.

Celebrate NAIDOC Week at Wagga Beach – Riverside at a fun day with your family and friends.

Check out the Ngurambang: Our Riverina exhibition at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery.

Or head down to Junee for the markets at the Licorice Factory.

And don’t miss the screening of Breakfast at Tiffany’s at Junee Athenium Theatre.

This weekend will be a massive opening weekend at the cinemas. Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt and embarks on the most dangerous mission with the IMF team to track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. For those looking for something feel-good, watch Joy Ride – about four Asian-American friends who travel through Asia in search of one of their birth mothers. For those into horror and supernatural themes, Insidious: The Red Door follows Josh Lambert and a college-aged Dalton Lambert, who, to put their demons to rest, must go deeper into the Further than ever before.

Where: Wollundry Lagoon precinct, Victory Memorial Gardens and Wagga Wagga CBD
Cost: Tickets for ice skating are $16 for adults, $12 child (2-14 yrs) and family $50, and can be purchased here.

Missed the opening week of the Festival of W? Not to worry. It will be on until 16 July for you to enjoy ice-skating, delicious food and immersive lights.

Riverina Comedy Club – BRETT BLAKE

NAIDOC Family Fun Day

The Mawang Gaway elders are inviting all Wagga residents to celebrate NAIDOC Family Fun Day at the Riverside. There are plenty of activities for all, including face painting, basketball, colouring in, entertainment on stage, slides, yarns at the yarning circle and more.

Piccolo Family Farm Tour

When: Wednesday 12, 10:30 am
Where: Piccolo Family Farm, 1814 Mallinson Rd, Lake Wyangan
Cost: Tickets are $20 a person and can be purchased here.

Take the kids out for a farm tour at the Piccolo Family Farm at Lake Wyangan. Bookings are essential for the guided tour around the picturesque grounds. Adults can finish the tour with wine tasting from the farm’s range.
