Disney is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its classic The Lion King with a re-release screening. Forum 6 will have four screenings this weekend. Based on William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, The Lion King follows the crown prince lion Simba, who must overcome his fear of taking responsibility as the rightful heir to the throne after his father, Mufasa, is killed by his uncle Scar. The film features the iconic voices of Jeremy Irons, James Earl Jones, Matthew Broderick, Rowan Atkinson, Nathan Lane, Whoopi Goldberg and more.
The American science-fiction horror AfrAId follows the Curtis family, who were chosen to test a new home digital assistant called AIA. AIA learns the family’s behaviours and begins to anticipate their needs. She can ensure nothing and no-one gets in her family’s way.
Starring Bill Skarsgard, The Crow is about murdered soulmates Eric and Shelly. When Eric is given a chance to save Shelly, he must sacrifice himself and traverse the worlds of the living and the dead.
Vortex Entertainment
