A Riverina man has woken up from his afternoon nap to discover he’d won $1 million.

He held the only division one winning entry in the Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw from Monday (24 October).

“I’d woken up from my afternoon nap and was about to make some dinner when I decided to check my entry,” he said.

“The shock of seeing what I’d won nearly knocked me over!

“Good thing I got some sleep [in the] afternoon because I struggled to sleep a wink.”

The Riverina man played “special numbers” he’d been using all his life, and said his retirement plans had now changed.

“I’m going to have the time of my life, live it up and really enjoy myself,” he said.

“This means the world to me.”

The man bought his entry online. The winning numbers from draw 4228 on Monday night were 22, 9, 6, 2, 21 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 34 and 20.
