Who are you and what is your business? My name is Tanya Stubbs, and I’m the owner of Tanya’s Cakes and Cookies. I started the business in 2019.

Where did you begin? One day, I just started making cakes for my family, and I just started getting orders from my family’s friends. It started from there. I created a Facebook page, started doing the markets and haven’t stopped since.

What do you produce? I do the DIY kits – make your own cookies for the children and adults, of course. I make sugar cookies and assorted slices. Sometimes, I’ll do mini cakes and spice it up and do cupcakes, depending on the occasion.

What do you sell that makes a great gift? I sell the most yummiest cookies. I make a lot of cookies for parties. If it is for birthdays, I do whatever the children like and bake Christmas and Easter-related cookies as well.

Will your finished product look quite as good as Tanya’s? Photo: Tanya’s Cakes and Cookies.

Where’s your favourite place for a cuppa? There are a few places. I love Muffin Break.

Who is another local producer you admire? Handmade By Kimmy. I’m into bags. She makes a lot of beautiful scrunchies and bags. I always buy it from her.
