The popular QPL Rural Photo Competition is back on again this year for photographers of all calibre to capture the region’s beauty and have a chance to win great prizes worth more than $1500.

The 2022 competition invites residents in and around the Riverina to celebrate and showcase the natural landscapes, people and country life.

QPL Rural Real Estate sales manager Andrew Pellow said living in rural Australia gives people the chance to connect with incredible landscapes, beautiful scenery, iconic rural imagery and sometimes just plain brilliant day-to-day situations.

He said the competition started in 2021 with some fantastic entries and the real estate agency have decided to keep it going as an annual event.

“For the QPL family and our staff, involvement in real estate is more than just business,” Mr Pellow said.

“It’s about immersing ourselves in local communities and promoting a rural lifestyle while sharing the attractions of the Riverina.

“Following the success of the photo competition last year, we decided to launch the campaign this year with the biggest giveaway.”

The estate manager said the public’s response to the competition “so far has been very good”, with the agency having been flooded with entries from around the region.

QPL Rural said people are not restricted to just one entry and are invited to send as many photographs as they wish.

All finalists will have their images featured on QPL’s 2023 calendar which will be distributed to some of the real estate agency’s stakeholders and other local businesses in the community.

Mr Pellow said when living in a beautiful part of the world it is important to showcase some of the beautiful Riverina scenery, landscapes, and events we get to see often on a daily basis.

“We put our photo comp out for all to enter from the budding photographer looking to get recognition for their photography through to someone snapping a beautiful sunrise on their phone camera,” he said.
