Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a missing Queensland man who travelled to the Riverina last month.
William Swiggs, 89, was last known to be travelling from Gympie, Queensland, on Monday 31 October. He was headed for South Australia via Victoria.
Mr Swiggs is believed to be travelling to Victoria in a 2002 silver Hyundai Lavita with Queensland registration 610 EZ4.
The 89-year-old is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm to 185cm tall, of medium-large build, with a fair complexion and grey hair. He wears reading glasses.
It’s believed Mr Swiggs stopped in the Forbes area before refuelling at a service station on Hoskins Street, Temora, at about 7:30 am on Wednesday 2 November.
He has not contacted his family since and officers from Riverina Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to his age and the time he has been missing.
