Police are appealing for information regarding a reported child approach in the Riverina earlier this month.
A NSW Police spokesperson said a teenage girl told police she was approached by a man in a vehicle between 12:30 pm and 1 pm on Tuesday, November 5, at the intersection of Wagga Road and McDonald Road, Lavington.
The driver of the car pulled into the driveway, blocking the path of a 15-year-old girl, before speaking to her.
The driver then reportedly followed her for about a minute before driving off and driving east along Wagga Road.
Later that day, the incident was reported to officers at Albury Police Station.
Police commenced an investigation into the circumstances.
Following inquiries, police are appealing for dashcam footage or information from anyone who may have seen a late-model white Holden Commodore station wagon with yellow number plates travelling on Wagga Road, Lavington, between 12:30 pm and 1 pm from the day of the incident.
Police have released a description of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries. He is described as a Caucasian male, aged 35 to 40, with black ‘sleeve’ tattoos on both arms. At the time, he was driving the Commodore station wagon.
Anyone with information is urged to call Albury Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
