Police are appealing for information following a suspicious house fire in Albury earlier this year.

At about 1:15 am on Sunday 27 April, emergency services responded to reports of a house fire on Southern View Drive, West Albury.

Fire and Rescue NSW found the house fully alight. The blaze was extinguished after several hours, however the house sustained significant damage.

The house has been undergoing renovations and no one was home at the time.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District established a crime scene. Police are treating the fire as suspicious and have released images of a woman who was seen in the vicinity of the fire who may be able to assist with inquiries.

She is described as being of a thin build with blonde hair and is depicted wearing black pants, a white jacket and was carrying a bag at the time.

Anyone with information, mobile phone footage or CCTV is urged to come forward and contact Albury Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
