Police appeal for information after alleged glass bottle attack in Griffith

Murrumbidgee Police are appealing for information after an alleged assault involving a glass bottle used as a weapon in Griffith at the weekend.

At about 1:30 am on Saturday (4 October), emergency services were called to a residence in Heath Crescent following reports of a serious assault.

On arrival, Griffith Police officers located a 32-year-old male and a 52-year-old male with severe laceration injuries.

Both men were transported to Griffith Base Hospital for treatment. The 52-year-old sustained injuries to his head.

The 32-year-old male was arrested and taken to Griffith Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding, common assault and contravening an apprehended violence order (AVO). He was refused bail.
