Motorcyclist dies following collision with truck in Lake Albert

A motorcyclist has died following a fatal collision with a truck.

Police said emergency services were called to Kooringal Road, Lake Albert, following reports a motorcycle and truck had collided at about 5:20 pm on Wednesday (20 November).

On arrival, Riverina Police District officers found the male rider with life-threatening injuries.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, where he died.

The man has yet to be formally identified, but he is believed to be in his 60s.

The 33-year-old male truck driver was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for mandatory testing.

Inquiries are ongoing.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
