A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the Riverina today.
Just after 11 am (Wednesday 5 October), emergency services were called to the intersection of Burley Griffin Way and McDonald Road, Bilbul, about 10km east of Griffith, following reports that a vehicle had struck a telegraph pole.
When they arrived they found a male driver had died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District have established a crime scene and begun inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
As inquiries continue, anyone who witnessed the crash – or who has dashcam footage – is urged to contact Griffith Police on 6969 4299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
