Man dead following two-vehicle collision at Barellan

A man has died after a car collided head-on with a truck near Griffith yesterday.

Police said emergency services were called to Burley Griffin Way, Barellan, 53 km east of Griffith, following reports that a car had collided with a truck at about 8:40 pm on Thursday (11 July).

The male driver of the utility died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the truck was uninjured.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has been launched.

Police will prepare a report for the information of the coroner.
