A Balranald man has been arrested and charged with obscene exposure after allegedly revealing his genitals at a shop in Griffith.

District Inspector Glenn Smith told Region the alleged incident occurred around 12:30 pm on Thursday (16 January).

Police will allege a mother and her three young children were in a store in Griffith when the woman noticed the 38-year-old man near her in the store with his genitals exposed from his trousers.

The woman took her children and left the store, contacting police.
