Man arrested in Leeton over outstanding warrants

A man wanted by police in the state’s Murray River region will appear in court today after being arrested in Leeton yesterday.

The 24-year-old man was wanted by virtue of two outstanding arrest warrants in relation to alleged traffic, property and domestic-related offences.

Officers from Murray River Police District’s Proactive Crime Team conducted extensive investigations into his whereabouts.

Following inquiries, including a public appeal for assistance, investigators attended a home on Gimlet Place, Leeton, where the man was been arrested at about 2:45 pm yesterday (12 October).

He was taken to Leeton Police Station and charged with both outstanding warrants.

The Deniliquin man was refused bail to appear in Griffith Local Court today (Thursday 13 October).
