A 43-year-old Griffith man has been issued with an infringement notice after allegedly urinating in public.

A male was seen by police walking east along the main street, Banna Avenue, from a licensed premises. Police were travelling west when they saw the male partly facing the front wall of Best & Less, allegedly urinating. Police observed the male continuing to walk east, while continuing to urinate. Police turned around and stopped to talk with the male, who denied anything occurring, although the fly on his jeans was still down and there was visible urine on the ground and wall where police observed the male allegedly urinating. Police pointed out there was a public bathroom open across the road.

The male was told he would be receiving a Criminal Infringement Notice (CIN) for Offensive Behaviour in the mail, and he was issued with a move-on direction for being intoxicated in a public place.
