Police attended a licensed premises on Banna Avenue, where they observed a 28-year-old male on the footpath outside the venue allegedly holding a can of Jim Beam. The man was known to be on bail conditions that prevented him from consuming alcohol.

Police allege the man became agitated and aggressive and grabbed hold of the left arm of one of the police officers. The officers instructed the male to let go of the constable’s arm, but he failed to comply and continued to resist and pull away from the police as they attempted to place him into the police vehicle.
