There has been a tragic end to the search for a missing woman from Leeton.
Murrumbidgee Police confirmed that a body, believed to be that of 83-year-old Barbara Wilson, was located about 20km from Leeton.
Police had launched a public appeal on Tuesday after her family reported her missing from her home on Celtis Place.
Photos and descriptions of Ms Wilson and her vehicle were circulated.
There were serious concerns as Ms Wilson required regular medication and a frame or cane to assist her mobility.
Following inquiries, a body was located in Whitton at around 9:30 am on Wednesday (15 June 2022).
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
