Riverina Police District are appealing for public assistance to locate a 71-year-old man who went missing in Carabost over the weekend.
Police say the 71-year-old was last seen at his home on Coppabella Road (Carabost) at about 3 pm on Sunday (23 October).
Officers attached to Riverina Police District were notified when a neighbour went to visit at 6 pm and the man could not be found.
Police have commenced inquiries to locate the missing man.
The search involves police, State Emergency Service, Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Ambulance, with the search suspended at about 2:30 am today (24 October).
The search recommenced today at first light.
Police hold concerns for the man’s welfare due to his age and mobility issues.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of medium build and has black hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo on his left arm.
The man uses a wheelchair but often uses an all-terrain vehicle on his farm, which was located on Carabost Hall Road.
