Just shy of its first birthday, Vortex Entertainment Centre has unveiled a brand new attraction that the whole family can enjoy.

An 18-hole mini golf course has filled out the previously empty space within the centre, offering fun for people of all ages.

“We’ve had the first nine holes going for the last couple weeks and they’ve been extremely popular with kids and adults alike,” centre manager Noelle Woodland said.

“We then got the next nine holes in store just last weekend. The first nine holes are a little easier while the next nine are a bit more challenging. They’re going to be a really great addition to our centre.

“Leading into the Christmas school holidays, we’re hoping to obviously get all the bookings from it. It’s been popular already with school groups. We have school sports groups coming into it.

“It’s been really great. And coming to the holidays, I’m sure we’ll be super busy with it.

“I feel like we’ve really built a substantial sort of business that people can rely on coming here for fun and family-friendly sort of entertainment. So I feel like even in the less than a year period, we’ve really cemented our place in the Wagga community.”

Ms Woodland said Vortex was expecting full sessions across the holidays and almost triple the regular number of guests they would get during a normal week.

“For safety reasons, we need to keep our capacity at 100; we can’t go over that. So book in online to ensure you’ve got your spot before you come down,” she said.

The miniature golf course is the only one of its kind in Wagga following the closure of Jump’n’Putt. Coming up on the centre’s first birthday, Ms Woodland said the centre was always changing and adding new features, offering something different every time you visit.

“We like to have a new experience for our guests, even if it isn’t necessarily a new attraction,” Ms Woodland said.

“If you’re already a vortex guest and you’ve already got your 90-minute or your two-hour session at vortex, it’s $13 to do all the 18 holes. If you’re coming in just off the street, it’s $18 to do all 18 holes, or $15 to do the nine holes.

“It’ll take probably close to an hour if not longer, to do the full 18 anyway if you’re with a big group.
