Two women and man charged with kidnapping after alleged Turvey Park assault

Two women and a man have been charged with kidnapping following a police operation in Wagga.

Shortly before 10:30 pm on Saturday (15 November), emergency services were called to a park on Monash Crescent, Turvey Park, following reports a man had been assaulted.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District attended and were told a 21-year-old man had allegedly been assaulted by three people known to him. The man refused medical treatment. A 24-year-old woman was also allegedly threatened but was uninjured.

About 11 am on Friday (5 December), a 55-year-old woman was arrested at Wagga Wagga Police Station.

Following inquires, police executed a search warrant at a house in Mumford Street, Ashmont, later that day.

Two people, an 18-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, were arrested at the house before being taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.

All three were charged with kidnapping in company with the intention of causing actual bodily harm and stalking/intimidation.

They have been refused bail and appeared before court on Saturday (6 December).
