Two people have been taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital with minor injuries following a head-on collision.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Irrigation Way and Mackellar Road, Cudgel, about 15 km south of Leeton, following reports of a two-vehicle crash just before 6:45 am today (24 January).
The male driver of the sedan was initially trapped but was able to self-extricate. The male driver of the utility was trapped for a short period before being released by emergency services.
Both men were taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital with minor injuries.
One man in his 40s was experiencing some shoulder, chest and back pain, and a male in his teens sustained arm and leg injuries.
Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police say diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Motorists travelling north from Narrandera can use the Newell Highway to Ardlethan via Grong Grong, then Burley Griffin Way towards Griffith.
Those travelling west from Narrandera can use the Sturt Hwy to Darlington Point.
