Traffic and Highway Patrol police seized more than 46 kilograms of dried cannabis flowers with an estimated street value of more than $400,000 during a random breath test stop on the Hume Highway near Holbrook.
Police said officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol stopped a van on the northbound lane of the Hume Highway, Mullengandra, for a random breath test at about 11:30 pm on Friday (12 July).
During a search of the vehicle, officers allegedly located and seized 99 bags containing close to 46 kilograms of dried cannabis flowers with an estimated street value of $445,500.
Two men, aged 42 and 43, were arrested and taken to Albury Police Station. They were both charged with supplying prohibited drugs in commercial quantity and possessing prohibited drugs.
They appeared before Wagga Wagga Local Court over the weekend (13 July) and were refused bail to appear at Albury Local Court today (15 July).
