The Riverina is busy this week with plenty of events for just about everyone to get excited for, with workshops for language learning, art and music, as well as plenty of sport, fun runs, author talks and more.
The Giants and the Queensland Firebirds go head to head at the Equex Stadium for a preseason netball match, which will be followed by a chance to meet with the players.
Forest Hill Oval gets a bit more colourful as it hosts a colour fun run, with competitions and prizes on the day to excite runners.
And new year’s resolutioners looking to expand their horizons will find a lot to love with workshops for learning Italian, picking up new painting skills or honing their musical talents.

World Wetland Day at the Marrambidya Wetland

Head to the Marrambidya Wetland for a fun, family-friendly celebration of the region’s beautiful natural spaces on Wetland Day. This free event is great for getting kids and adults out and about in the outdoors.
There will be hands-on activities such as waterbug workshops, guided bird walks and nature journaling, all of which are great ways to enhance one’s understanding and appreciation of nature.
So whether you want to spy some amazing aquatic insects, try your hand at identifying the Riverina’s many birds or document it all in a nature journal, Wetland Day is for you.

Colour Fun Run
