A teenager has been charged over an alleged armed robbery on a Wagga Wagga street.
Just after 9:25 am on Thursday (2 January), police were called to Coolibah Street, Kooringal, following reports of an armed robbery.
A 45-year-old man had been approached by two people before he was allegedly assaulted and threatened with broken glass.
The two left the scene after allegedly taking cash.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident before arresting a 17-year-old boy at about 12:40 pm the same day.
He was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
He has been refused bail to appear at children’s court later today (3 January).
