The annual Spring Jam will be in full bloom once again on Saturday at the Botanic Gardens to kick off the school holidays.
Festivalgoers can expect plenty of fun activities, vendors, live music, drop-ins from the Botanic Gardens Zoo and more from 10 am until 3 pm.
Wagga City Council Events Officer Amy McDonnell said the events team had curated a free, jam-packed program for children aged two to 12 and their families.
Live entertainment will come from The Mik Maks, The Pretty Amazing Jono and local acts from Zana Aerial Dance Academy, Triple Threat Riverina and Riverina Conservatorium of Music’s Rock Band.
“This year, I’m really excited to see we’ve got a new band that hasn’t performed at Spring Jam before, The Mik Maks,” she said.
“It’s really just exciting to see people out and about enjoying the Botanic Gardens.”
Aside from live music, there will be outdoor adventures, giant garden games, meet and greets with furry friends from the Botanic Gardens Zoo and story time sessions from Wagga City Council’s Agile Library Service.
“In addition, there will be outdoor adventure, roving performers, creative workshops, live music, tasty snacks and more,” Ms McDonnell said.
Kids can explore their creative side and make a friendship bracelet, paper pinwheel, native scented dough creation, springtime shadow box creation or their own pre-purchased cardboard costume at the Mini Makers Marquee workshops.
Aside from the events, vendors, live entertainment and games at the gardens, Ms McDonnell also encourages families to pop by the Botanic Garden Zoo and duck over to the Museum of the Riverina for more workshops and events.

Ms McDonnell said there would be a range of sweet treats at the festival, from acai bowls to dumplings, pizza and pasta, ice cream and more to choose from.
“Pack a picnic rug and bring some snacks or purchase tasty treats from Spring Jam’s Food Alley,” she said.
