Country Hope is inviting the public to a live auction of vibrant art featuring donated pieces from the talented artists involved in its 2025 charity calendar.
The auction of works from the Colours of Courage exhibition and the launch of the Country Hope 2025 Charity Art Calendar will be held at Gallery 43, TAFE NSW Wagga, on Thursday, 24 October, at 6:30 pm. The exhibition runs from Monday 21 to Friday, 25 October.
“We’ve got some truly beautiful, vibrant artworks this year,” Country Hope board fundraising and events coordinator Jenny Skidmore said.
“The 2025 calendar is much brighter than last year’s, which is fantastic, and we have 11 of our 12 calendar artists exhibiting.
“We also have a group piece created by the children who attended our Time Out For Life holiday camp, which will be auctioned off at the event.”
Ms Skidmore said the event was important because it “shines a light on local artists”.
The exhibiting artists are Megan Cameron, Jypsie Cronan (Glen-Lea Images), Kay Davidson, Maggie Deall, Lindy Farley, Eileen Friedlieb (Macca Art), Grant Higginson (Cut Above Productions), Rebecca Hutchinson, Lesley Looney, Juanita McLauchlan and Debbie Wood.
The auction and launch will feature live music from Riverina Conservatorium of Music students. Drinks will be available for purchase from Borambola Wines’ pop-up bar, with complimentary nibbles.
The artworks were hung by Ms Skidmore and Gallery 43 manager Juanita McLauchlan.
The Colours of Courage exhibition will be open to the public from Monday 21 until Friday, 25 October from 10 am to 3 pm. For more information about the exhibiting artists, click here.
