Now a successful film writer/director, his latest film, Finally Me, is a story set in the competitive world of high school cheerleading, where a young girl defies her father’s dream for her to take over the family souvlaki business and finds herself chosen to lead her team to victory despite being a complete novice and far from the stereotypical cheerleader.
Do you have a connection to the Region? What and when was your last visit?
I do have a strong connection.
I am friends with David Barnhill, who I played with at Saints. Dave helped put my film crew up in the hotel he previously owned – the William Farrar.
Also, the Mavroudis family are great friends and were amazing help when I filmed Chasing Comets in Wagga.
I launched the film in 2018 and that was the last time I was there.
