NSW Police have praised the good behaviour of attendees at the 32nd annual Chryslers on the Murray in Albury at the weekend, saying officers made no arrests.

The Albury Wodonga Chrysler Club holds the event in March each year to celebrate the iconic American automobile, with participants given the chance to parade their Chryslers and have them judged to win prizes.

Police conducted a high-visibility operation during the three-day festival, maintaining a strong presence throughout the central business district and Wodonga Place. More than 10,000 people attended over the weekend.

Acting Inspector Brett Collins, from Murray River Police District, said officers were extremely happy with attendees in and around the car show.

“NSW Police undertook the high-visibility operation over the three days to help ensure all attendees could enjoy the event safely,” Acting Inspector Collins said.

“While a number of infringement notices were issued, there were no arrests made over the three-day event, which is a great result for both police and people who behaved well, considering the size of the event.

“The crowd behaviour was exceptional, and this is a great example of attendees having a great time and respecting their fellow patrons while also having a Plan-B to ensure they got home safely,” he said.

The first annual car show, Mopars on the Murray was held in 1992. Now known as Chryslers on the Murray, the organisers say the show has grown to become the largest Chrysler show in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Albury Wodonga Chrysler Club caters for all Chrysler products from the first Dodge through to new Chryslers, original and modified. It has monthly meetings and organises Chrysler shows and events, as well as social outings.

More information on the club and a full list of 2025 trophy winners can be found on the Chryslers on the Murray website.
