UPDATE October 18, 11:40 pm: A 22-year-old man last seen near Goolgowi has been found safe. Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.
October 17, 12 pm: Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a man missing from the Riverina.
Israel Metcalfe, 22, was last seen travelling along Tabbita Road, Carrathool, at about 5:30 pm on Tuesday (15 October).
When he could not be contacted or found, he was reported missing to officers attached to Riverina Police District, who began inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and Israel’s family have concerns for his welfare as his absence is out of character.
Israel is described as being of African appearance with a medium build, about 178 cm tall, with short black hair, an unshaven face, and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing an orange high-visibility worktop, blue pants and work boots.
Israel was last seen driving a white 2006 Toyota HiLux dual-cab utility with a steel tray, a black bull bar and the NSW registration plates FJS15P.
He is known to frequent the Griffith area.
