Murrumbidge Police are seeking information from the public after pet rabbits were found with their necks broken at a Griffith household.

Between the hours of 1:55 am and 2:10 am on Friday (26 September), five unknown persons were in the rear yard of a house in Snaith Place.

The owner heard noises from the rear of the yard and looked out to see five people and two dead rabbits on the grass.

The owner believed three were in their teens and two were in their 30s, with one of those wearing a red singlet and a blue heeler dog in their possession.

The owner yelled out at the people, but the suspects fled the location by kicking out a fence panel.

The owner then checked the rabbits and found their necks to be broken.

Police were contacted and commenced inquiries. Officers are asking anyone with information on the identity of these five persons of interest to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
