This year’s most anticipated Marvel superhero film (starring Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds), Deadpool & Wolverine, hits the cinemas this week. Wade Wilson, retired as the mercenary Deadpool, joins forces with Wolverine, who is recovering from injuries, to defeat a common enemy.

Also in cinemas this week: Longlegs, Sting, Twisters, Despicable Me 4, Inside Out 2, A Quiet Place: Day One, Maxxxine, Fly Me to the Moon and The Bikeriders.

Women of the Riverina

When: Friday 26 and Saturday 27 July, 10 am to 3 pm
Where: Wagga Wagga Art Gallery
Cost: $10 and can be purchased at Humanitix.

Women of the Riverina are invited to share their stories for a theatrical production. Do you have a story you have already written? All women are welcome to submit a story – a short monologue (800 words), at the booking link.

Enjoy a great three-course lunch and wine at the McWilliam’s winery. Sit by the fireplace with friends and family for a relaxing Saturday lunch. Start with antipasto with dips and crudites followed by Moroccan slow-cooked lamb hot pot served with flatbread and rocket salad for the main course. To finish, indulge in the chocolate prune tart served with McWilliam’s’ 20-year-old Tawny Fortified. A vegetarian menu option is also available: Moroccan slow-cooked vegetable hot pot.
